Image Editor Application

Simplify Your Studio is searching for a skilled, efficient, reliable and hard-working image editor to join our growing team.

The job will be to process images in Lightroom and edit them in Photoshop for our clients. Our clients are professional photographers all over the world primarily photographing family portraits, pet portraits, weddings and some commercial/product images.

There will be three stages to the recruitment process:

1. Application. Please complete the form below to apply as soon as possible. This step is really just about gathering some basic information.

2. Interview. This will be a conversation on zoom in English with the owner of Simplify Your Studio about your previous work experience and what you would add to the culture of our team. To be 100% clear, we are more interested in finding great editors and great team members than great English speakers, but it is important that we can communicate enough to be able to have a conversation or for you to be able to understand video instructions from our clients at times. Our editors are all based in the Philippines and training can be conducted in Tagalog or English, but the initial interview will be in English, and instructions/requests from our clients are all received in English too. 

3. Paid Trial. Successful interview candidates will be invited to join our team on a paid trail for up to 2 weeks. At the end of the two week trial one of the participants will be offered ongoing, regular work as an Image Editor with Simplify Your Studio. Depending upon performance there may also be opportunities for ongoing freelance work for some other candidates.

Role Details In this role, you'll be working with a team of editors, following a specific process to edit a set of photographs to the photographer's exact specifications.
You will be paid $5.70AUD/hour for any hours you spend actively working on one of our tasks or attending a zoom meeting with myself (Iain) or our lead editor (Carl).

Training will be provided on the specific process to follow, and you can ask questions in either English or Tagalog.
The images you edit are the property of the photographer and you do NOT have permission to use the images for any purpose other than to edit them. Any other use of the images (for example in your online portfolio) is a breach of copyright and will be reported.

We are searching for a new editor to work with us on an ongoing freelance basis. The hours will depend upon demand from our clients - editors who do an amazing job get more clients and therefore more hours, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.

The first two weeks of your work with Simplify Your Studio should be considered a paid trial period as we search for our new team member, which I hope is you.
